There are some definitions relate to games in teaching learning process based on the expert, such as:
1. Jill Hadfield (1990: 4) in his book entitled "Elementary Vocabulary Games", a game is an activity with rules, a goal, and an element of fun.
2. David Nunan and Caroline T. Linse (2005: 57) in their book entitled "Practical English Language Teaching: Young Learners", play is a purposeful activity and games are a part of playing. As such, games are a very appropriate teaching technique in the young learner classroom.
3. McCallum (1980:70) argues that games provide pleasure and enjoyment. Games provide not only a learning experience, but also an enjoyment when games are introduced (from the book entitled "101 Words Games for Students of English as a Second or Foreign Language").
